The Trip Registration forms and updated trip lists are now available and are attached to this post. Please select your trips and email the forms back to Laz Meszaros no later than 17th February. For those of you who are keen to join us on the Non 4WD trips that require fees, it is vital that you get back to us no later than 9th February. The time limit has been set by the tour providers as Easter is a very busy period for them and places are filling fast.

Please use these updated registration forms as they incorporate the reduced camping fees that the Whyalla Council has come back with. Any queries to be directed to Laz.

Our club is excited about the range of trips being offered to the members and looks forward to a successful event in April.

Only three months to go to the event and the planning is getting tighter. We encourage members of the clubs to join us at Easter in Whyalla and to send in the event registration forms as soon as possible. The trip registration form will be available closer to the date and an update for the event will be posted in February.

The Club has just issued its first Tri-State Newsletter. Planning is now well underway with a number of four wheel drive and scenic trips being organised for the Easter event. Please register your interest and any queries you may have, by email.

Members! Dig out those great photos taken on club trips over the last couple of years and get them ready to enter into the club’s competition. Some of your photos will appear in the gallery on this website. Just log into the Members’ Section to access the competition details, fill out the form and bring your images to Monday’s meeting (September 5th) or the October 10th meeting at the latest.

The Club has been notified of the upcoming mid year Caravan & Camping Show to be held at the Wayville Showgrounds, 28 – 31 July. It has been provided with reduced-price entrance tickets. These will be distributed at the 4 July members’ meeting.

Holden has issued an alert to owners of Jackaroos of a potential condition to those vehicles fitted with 3.0L diesel engines. The notice was posted in the Advertiser today, June 9, 2011 on page 27.

According to the notice, Holden has identified a potential condition which may cause an unintended increase in engine speed whilst the engine is idling.

The following engines are those identified as being affected:

“Owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted by letter outlining the process for arranging a free of charge inspection and rework of the wiring harness.

If you require any further information please contact your nearest Holden Dealer or call the Holden recall and rework assistance line on 1800 632 826. This service operates 8am to 7pm EST Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm EST Saturdays except National Public Holidays.”
