About us

The Club

During the late 1990s a small group of enthusiastic Holden Jackaroo owners decided to form the first Holden 4WD Club in South Australia. Their aims then were no different from those of today, that is to bring together like-minded people who are keen to explore this country and participate in group activities. These include social events, day trips and extended trips as well as training events over weekends. Members regularly plan trips to remote and geographically difficult areas and travel safely in small groups.

The Club fosters an environment where members can share knowledge, exchange ideas and learn new techniques as well as providing opportunities to improve skills in a variety of driving conditions and locations.

The Club is allied with similar clubs in NSW, ACT and Victoria and participates in a tri-state gathering each Easter weekend. The 2015 event was hosted by our Club at Lameroo in the Mallee District of SA. In 2016 the event was held at Clunes in Victoria and was a huge success. This coming year, 2017, the event is to be held at Bega on the Sapphire Coast of New South Wales.
